Birds
There are many species of birds in the UK that to try and photograph them all would be a lifetime's work. They populate every part of our islands from the highest, most remote mountains to the centres of our towns and cities. Some are so small and quick flighted that only a keen eye will ever spot them let alone identify them, whilst others are slow and so majestic in flight that they have become a "must see" when visiting certain parts of the British Isles.
Whilst the Golden Eagle, Barn Owl or Puffin are the extremely well known and popular avians, the less well known or unpopular ones like Magpies or Starlings get little attention or even worse are persecuted. Yet both these birds have spectacular feather colouration especially when the light strikes them right. And anyone who has seen Starlings gathering to roost at night will never forget the dazzling formation flying they perform.
Photographing Wildlife, without disturbing or distressing it, requires tons of patience and some very expensive equipment to get a good shot. As time progresses I hope to be able to have access to that sort of equipment (it's not some much the camera but the lens in front of it) and to start producing images which really take the breath away. So keep watching.
