Runswick Bay from Kettleness
Yorkshire Coastal Photographs
Welcome to my Yorkshire Coastal photography gallery.

We have a fair old stretch of water down our right hand side; The North Sea

In Yorkshire it is bounded by two great rivers: the Humber in the south and the Tees to the north. Both are great trading routes and have been so for many years. Sailors, Fishermen and Tourists are protected over the entire length of the Yorkshire Coast from mishap by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) which has many stations strategically placed.

From the sweeping sandy bays of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough through the towering cliffs covered in seabirds at Bempton Cliffs to the old reputed smugglers villages of Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes and the old Whaling port of Whitby, many inspirational photographic opportunities abound.

I will only scratch the surface of what can be captured through a lens in my lifetime. What can be a beautiful calm summer location can equally show nature’s full wild forces in winter. But I’ll have a crack at bringing a record of Yorkshire’s Beauty and the Beast.
