Of course there are many other beautiful places outside of Yorkshire and would you believe it two of them are also in the North of England. Aren’t we the lucky ones? Two more National Parks range from West to East from Cumbria to Northumberland and up to the Scottish borders.
The mountains of the Lake District are dramatic in any light especially in winter and are scenically complemented by the deep lakes that fill the valleys beneath them. Northumberland has its wild sweeping fells as in the Cheviot Hills. Both play host to a large variety of plant, bird and animal life and photographers eager to capture their undoubted raw beauty are spoilt for choice.
