As with Northern Landscapes there are a multitude of places to visit with camera in hand on either the east or west coast. Cumbria has many sweeping bays, a nuclear power station and many ports which served a number of industries over centuries. Northumberland is now largely tourist driven and welcomes many thousands to it remote beaches, bird sanctuaries and largely ruined castles but still maintains a small fishing industry.

There is always somewhere to go on the Northumbrian coast to get away from it all and share your time with birds, history and the odd inquisitive seal. As with all Coastal regions, Mother Nature can put on a show of her wild side which demonstrates the power of the sea.
