Northern Landscapes
Of course, there are many other beautiful places outside of Yorkshire and would you believe it many of them are also in the North of England. Aren’t we the lucky ones? Yorkshire has two National Parks with two more and a number of other Areas of Natural Beauty (AONBs) ranging from West to East from Cumbria to Northumberland and up to the Scottish borders.
The mountains of the Lake District are dramatic in any light especially in winter and are scenically complemented by the deep lakes that fill the valleys beneath them. Northumberland has its wild sweeping fells as in the Cheviot Hills. Both play host to a large variety of plant, bird and animal life and photographers eager to capture their undoubted raw beauty are spoilt for choice.
Close by, the Peak District National Park lies to the south near Sheffield. And to the north over the border lie the wonders of the Scottish Lowlands, Highlands and Islands
