On holiday in October and while the rest of the family were still fast asleep, I wandered down to the sea front under Upgang Lane in Whitby. My objective was to capture a long exposure image of the piers and lighthouses as the sun rose. What would that do? It was intended to make the waves disappear as waves and make the sea flat. At the same time make the clouds appear to be moving and the piers still. Two minutes was the exposure time. Result?
