Just upstream and on the opposite side of the River Wharfe from the Cavendish Pavilion at Bolton Abbey lies Posforth Gill beck. Along with several other streams (becks), it drains Barden Moor into the River Wharfe. A footpath leads from the road through farmland into woodland where this delightful waterfall can be found over a tiny wooden bridge. It is situated in a narrow valley (Gill). I remember taking this picture as it was during a violent thunder and rainstorm when everything, but everything got wet through. But well worth it.
